Bank Collateral Manager


Position Summary

The Bank Collateral Manager will be responsible for managing the overall collateral operations within Primalend. This role is vital to ensure that our collateral standing with our bank partners is always being tracked accurately and timely. In addition to our bank relationships this role will also oversee the collateral from our automotive dealerships nationwide on an account by account basis. This position is rooted in ensuring PrimaLend’s lending positions are always backed by reliable and accurate collateral reporting.

The Bank Collateral Manager will be tasked with managing PrimaLend’s internal collateral clerk team and managing the assignments and workflow of the team. As a collateral based lender, it is essential that PrimaLend can track and log all incoming collateral effectively. This role will report directly to upper management and be the first point of contact from our banking partners for collateral inquiries and current standing. The ideal candidate for this role will need to have exception attention to detail, work ethic, and leadership.

Position Responsibilities

  • Management of PrimaLend’s Bank Collateral Team & Dealership Collateral Teams
  • Reporting to Management and Banking Partners on status of collateral
  • Implementing improved oversight and processes within our collateral operations
  • Overseeing audits and reconciliations of collateral on hand
  • Resolving collateral issues both internally and with our clients in a professional manager
  • Ensuring the timely return of collateral to the Banks and Dealerships
  • Assisting in external audits from our financial partners regarding our collateral operations
  • Keeping the standard of customer service and collateral processing at a level of excellence
  • Instilling a culture of teamwork and accountability
  • Facilitating a rewarding and fulfilling office environment for our employees

Job Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree (Bachelor’s Preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years of collateral or relative industry experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to correspond with upper level executives in a professional manner
  • Exemplary attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once and meet set deadlines
  • Team oriented with the ability to lead
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a diverse range of employees
  • A Self-Starter mindset to set own objectives and accomplish them
  • Able to perform under pressure for time sensitive management requests
  • Audit experience and familiar with reconciling collateral to financial reporting
